So this girl with the flamboyant red, orange, and blonde hair goes by the name of Rye Rye. She's a rapper. M.I.A's protege to be exact. Oh yeah and a dancer too. I recently discovered this Baltimore born 17 year old in an issue of one of my random magazines and ofcourse my eyes were drawn to the hair. Eventually I googled her ( i love how thats a verb now) and came upon her myspace. Her rhymes display the innerworkings of a 17 y.o girls mind. Boys, School, Parents, Drama, and she does like to mention how sexy she is once or twice. But any who she's a pretty intresting kid and you can deffinitely tell she is influenced by M.I.A through her clothes. Check her out sometime.
Now you know we love our Solange...Heres her latest video T.O.N.Y. This video is really interesting ...it aired on 106 and Park the other day, but I doubt it will make the countdown because half the audience probably didn't even get it( No offense to them though : ) ). Check out that sick jacket and the heels she's sporting in the beginning. Also it was produced by Va$htie...

As of 12 noon this afternoon Barack Hussein Obama became the 44ty president of the United States. Honestly when this whole thing began I wasn't all that excited. Even when he won the election I wanted to jump around and be ecstatic like everyone else, but for some reason I couldn't. But eventually seeing how this one man has mad people believe in their rights and capability again, and how he's made people love their country again brought me to tears. To see how he has brought people together and restored some peoples sense of America’s creed. Tears actually rolled down my face as I watched and listened to him get sworn in this afternoon. I understand that he is one man, and I don't expect him to develop the magic potion that will cure America of all its problems. I don't expect him to correct all that is wrong with the world and cure the pains and indecency’s of humanity. I don't expect this man to be the best president in our history just because he is half black. But I do expect and hope that as our 44th president this man will do all he can to make America a better place. I hope that he can restore Americas tattered reputation, uplift it, make good decisions for all inhabiting this land, and make me proud to be an American citizen. I'm not sure if I can truly say change starts here, but if it does I hope it doesn't end here. In the end I'm glad that I got to witness a part of history in my lifetime. When it comes to marching with Dr. King, boycotting with Rosa, or a watching sit in live on TV, I will never be able to say I witnessed that. But 50 years from now when people talk about the election and inauguration of the first half black president, I can say I was there.
Kanye looks ridiculous. And he sounded even more ridiculous at the Youth Inaugural Ball.
Michelle looked stunning her gown designed by Jason Wu. It was somewhat simular to Nancy Reagans one shoulderd 1981 Inuagural gown.
