Solange...or should I say Sol-Angel

Solange is not little Beyonce anymore...with her new look, Ms. Knowles is definitely back with a force. With her new album "Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams", she shows how she has matured. With her new song, "I Decided"( which I love!) she travels through time (noting fashion at it BEST and worst). She is currently on tour with Chrisete Michele and Raheem Devaughn. Her new style is like a collision course of the 60's and 80's(2 decades worth of good fashion and good music). Now revamped she can finally step out of Beyonce and Destiny's Child shadow. Check out her "I Decided" video and more of her music and new look on : http://www.myspace.com/solange

Team Blackout blast to the 80's

They flash back to the 80's which I love but too bad Jo Jo doesn't take after his pops, Rev Run, with the flow... That Zach is mighty fine though.

Ms. Keys is @ it Again!

Alicia Keys new video "Teenage Love Affair" is definitely number 1 potential. The song it self is a catchy R and B soul love joint, but the video is a very cute rendition of Spike Lee's "School Daze". It features Alicia and Derek Luke as college students in the 80's who fall in love in a plot line based on "School Daze". Alicia dons an 80's chic look with bomber jackets, slouchy shirts, and skinny leg jeans. A lot of neon colors, prints, and big jewerly. Plus Alicia with her Fara Faucet type hair. The whole black panther and dream girl type thing will take you back when you see it. Definitely check out this video.

BB Dakota

Yet another line I discovered on karmaloop.com. BB Dakota is what can I say, hmm.... a line for the urban collegiate/business women, before and after hours. Now when I say collegiate I mean any woman who takes life as learning experience and is open to new things. Now when I say business woman I mean any woman who is about her business in any situation and than some. They offer very simple but unique pieces. Mainly dresses and jackets. I personally am in love with their jackets. Here are some of my picks:

cool urban fashion clothing
80's style windbreaker bomber

flowy victorian style trench

Model Citizen(# 1)

Teyana Taylor. This chick is a refreshing site to see when it comes to fashion. Her eclectic and retro tomboyish style was seen for the first time on "My Super Sweet 16", and ever since than I fell in love with her look. She's known for her big jeans and over sized tee's but she still manages to keep a sense of femininity. Her most noted outfit is probably her "Heatherette" dress that she wore to her sweet 16. From her colorful sneakers to her Billionaire Boys hoodies this girl definitely knows how to keep it fresh and clean. For me its the hair. I just love it.If I had hair like that nobody would be able to tell me nothing. Anyway check out her new single "Google Me".
