This new kid on the Hip-Hip block, Kid Sister, just does something to me. The first time I heard her rapping was one of my days DJing with YNN. It was her first single, "Pro Nails", with Kanye West. Of course I digged it but when I saw the video I loved it even more. Think of her as a Pharell meets underground Gwen Stefani. I'm recognizing Kid Sister because she has this eclectic underground flow which definitely correlates into her fashion. With her boho meets 80's hip hop look, she deserves to be in the pages of GIANT all the way to Vanity Fair. She is like the queen of beenies, aviators, and neon jewelry. I'm oh so very glad she got rid of the blond hair because it was holding her back. Now with her mod bangs and basic dusty black hair color she has major fashion potential. Her music has been featured in Marc Jacobs fashion shows and she hosted MTV spring break. Maybe Kid Sister will have her on line one day. Most def i'd cop it....a girl can dream can't she.

Ms. Keys is @ it Again!
Alicia Keys new video "Teenage Love Affair" is definitely number 1 potential. The song it self is a catchy R and B soul love joint, but the video is a very cute rendition of Spike Lee's "School Daze". It features Alicia and Derek Luke as college students in the 80's who fall in love in a plot line based on "School Daze". Alicia dons an 80's chic look with bomber jackets, slouchy shirts, and skinny leg jeans. A lot of neon colors, prints, and big jewerly. Plus Alicia with her Fara Faucet type hair. The whole black panther and dream girl type thing will take you back when you see it. Definitely check out this video.

Spring Break In VA....Run Wild
So I just came back from Virgina Beach yesterday and I had so much fun. Not only did I enjoy the beach and the wind through my hair and all that jazz but I got the chance to shop at Steve and Berry's. I've shopped at Steve and Berry's before when I was up with my fam in Harlem and @ the Jersey Gardens Mall. I must say they really impress me. They carry lines by Serena Williams, Sara Jessica Parker, and many others. Amanda Bynes line , Dear, and Sara Jessica's, Bitten, are so freakin' fabulous. All their items are under 20 bucks! and when your on limited funds like my self thats a heaven sent. Bitten has a lot of preppy and glam type looks. I got this cute little black dress for just $8.98 from them. Dear is more girly/preppy and flirty. They had endless boot cut and skinny jeans, not to mention a lot of cute screen tees and empire waist shirts. If you ever in VA or in a place that has a Steve and Berry's most def check it out. They periodically have this $8.00 sale where everything is $8 and under!

Trend ALERT: Monokinis
This Spring and Summer I definitely must say that I have fallen hard for monokinis. I probably saw one for one of the first times in some fashion show like around 05' and I think that really make the wearer look sexy, but still classy. Not really a big fan of bikinis because its basically like wearing your draws out doors for all the world to see, but these are more comfortable but still cute.
TREND ALERT!: Beenies
Everybody has a beenie now. There really cute to me and I think they make outfits look layed back and chilled. Dawn from Danity Kane was rocking them hard on this season of MTB4 this season. I like the knitted ones that sit on the top of your head. They're a really cool and cheap accessory. I went out and bought myself a couple.
