As of 12 noon this afternoon Barack Hussein Obama became the 44ty president of the United States. Honestly when this whole thing began I wasn't all that excited. Even when he won the election I wanted to jump around and be ecstatic like everyone else, but for some reason I couldn't. But eventually seeing how this one man has mad people believe in their rights and capability again, and how he's made people love their country again brought me to tears. To see how he has brought people together and restored some peoples sense of America’s creed. Tears actually rolled down my face as I watched and listened to him get sworn in this afternoon. I understand that he is one man, and I don't expect him to develop the magic potion that will cure America of all its problems. I don't expect him to correct all that is wrong with the world and cure the pains and indecency’s of humanity. I don't expect this man to be the best president in our history just because he is half black. But I do expect and hope that as our 44th president this man will do all he can to make America a better place. I hope that he can restore Americas tattered reputation, uplift it, make good decisions for all inhabiting this land, and make me proud to be an American citizen. I'm not sure if I can truly say change starts here, but if it does I hope it doesn't end here. In the end I'm glad that I got to witness a part of history in my lifetime. When it comes to marching with Dr. King, boycotting with Rosa, or a watching sit in live on TV, I will never be able to say I witnessed that. But 50 years from now when people talk about the election and inauguration of the first half black president, I can say I was there.

Kanye looks ridiculous. And he sounded even more ridiculous at the Youth Inaugural Ball.

Michelle looked stunning her gown designed by Jason Wu. It was somewhat simular to Nancy Reagans one shoulderd 1981 Inuagural gown.

The song they performed was beautiful!

Ahh...the 90's...good times

I missed the Wu Tang Clan

The Wu Tang Clan was in Raleigh and I didn't even know about it....I am slacking on my NC social scene...and tickets were only 45 bucks...but Method Man wasn't there though....this would have been a great opportunity for me to be more exposed to their music.
